Epigenes (crater)

Epigenes is an impact crater on the moon in the northernmost part of the lunar front side. Located just south of the crater Anaxagoras and northwest of the crater level of W. Bond.

The crater was named in 1935 by the IAU by the Greek astronomer Epigenes of Byzantium.
