Ergo Arena

The Ergo Arena ( Hala Gdańsk - Sopot also ) is a multi-purpose hall in the Polish cities of Gdansk and Sopot. It was built in the project between 2007 and 2010 according to plans by the architects group KIPP and opened on 18 August 2010. The hall has a capacity of 11,409 seats, which can be increased at concerts with standing room for 15,000. Through the hall, the city boundary between Gdansk and Sopot runs.

Events

First major event was on 26 November 2010 a concert of U.S. pop singer Lady Gaga. In 2013, the hall was a venue for the European Volleyball Championship men. 2014, the 15th IAAF World Indoor Athletics Championships were held there. In the same year, she is also a venue for the World Volleyball Championship men and 2016 the 12th European Handball Championship for men.
