Ergué-Gabéric

Ergué -Gabéric ( Breton: An Erge Vras ) is a commune with 8144 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Finistère in the Brittany region; it belongs to the administrative district in the canton of Quimper Quimper and -2.

Geography

The municipality is located in the metropolitan area east of Quimper, in the countryside Cornwall, about 50 kilometers southeast of Brest and 100 kilometers northwest of Vannes. Neighboring communities of Ergué -Gabéric are:

  • Briec in the north,
  • Landudal in the Northeast,
  • Elliant in the east,
  • Saint -Yvi in the southeast
  • Saint- Évarzec in the south and
  • Quimper in the west.

On the northern and western boundary of the municipality of the Odet river, on the south of the jet, which flows into the Odet Quimper in runs.

Transport links

The municipal area is easily accessible via the proximity to Quimper. It is powered by the department of roads D15 ( from Quimper to Coray ) and D115 ( from Quimper to Elliant ). The national road N165 ( from Brest to Vannes ) crosses the extreme southwest of the municipality. The railway line from Quimper to Lorient initially follows the valley of the River Jet. The airport Quimper Cornwall lies on the other side of Quimper, in a distance of about ten kilometers.
