Eriba-Marduk

Eriba -Marduk, who reigned 770-761 BC, came as the second Chaldean ruler and first king of the tribe Bit Jakin on the Babylonian throne. He is the ancestor of the later Babylonian king Marduk - apla - iddina II, although it is not clear whether he was the father or grandfather.

In the Babylonian chronicle a campaign Eriba- Marduk against the country Aramu is occupied. The Arameans regions of Sigilta and Subartu confiscated, were among Borsippa and Babylon and returned by Eriba -Marduk after his victory over Aramu to the owners. His successor Nabû - šuma - iškun belonged to the tribe bit Dakkuri.
