Eric Froehlich

Froehlich was a talented athlete in his youth. However, he was forced to pursue other activities through an injury. So he came, as his later friend David Williams for the first time in contact with the collectible card game Magic: The Gathering.

In high school, he first played poker. At the age of 18 years Froehlich started playing poker online and in the spring of 2005, he abandoned his studies at the University of Virginia, to devote himself entirely to the poker game.

In his first year at the World Series of Poker 2005, he won a $ 1,500 Limit Hold 'em tournament and $ 303,908. At this time, Froehlich was at age 21 the youngest bracelet winner ever. This record currently holds but Steve Bill Iraqis, who was at the time of his triumph only a few days over the age limit of 21 years.

A year later, at the World Series of Poker 2006 Eric Froehlich won his second tournament. He sat down in the $ 1,500 Pot Limit Omaha event against numerous competitors by and received $ 299,675.
