Eric Hassli

Eric Hassli (born 3 May 1981 in Sarreguemines ) is a French football player. He plays the position of striker.

Career

The first stations

By 2000 Hassli played for his hometown club Sarreguemines FC. At age 19 he moved to FC Metz 40 kilometers away. After almost two and a half years he moved on loan to the English club Southampton. After six months he returned to FC Metz. He scored for Southampton though 6 goals in 9 games, but was not required.

Swiss year

After 6 months, he also then joined the Swiss League to Neuchâtel Xamax. But even here he could not really take hold and moved to FC Servette Genève. The club was only half a year later, bankruptcy and so he came at the beginning of 2005 to FC St. Gallen.

At FC St. Gallen, he was able to draw attention to themselves with good performances. His scoring prowess and technical skills made ​​him a dangerous striker. He scored so in 47 official matches 18 goals. Through his good performances clubs from France were aware of him. He seized the opportunity and moved in the summer of 2006 to FC Valenciennes.

At FC Valenciennes he had to back with the spare roll resign and therefore only a year later moved back to Switzerland for FC Zurich. In his first year he struggled to find his rhythm again and was dubbed by fans and media already as faulty purchase. But the coach and the board gave him the confidence he needed, and he was in the 2008 /09 season back to his strengths. Major League Soccer

2011 changed the beefy striker at his own request to North America and signed with the American League Major League Soccer, where he found refuge in the Canadian club Vancouver Whitecaps FC. His contract was due to expire in the summer, but the FCZ left him because of his " outstanding contribution to the club " pull ahead. The 29 -year-old Hassli received a four-year contract in Vancouver, where he was teammate of former Super League professionals Alain Rochat (formerly FC Zurich ) and Davide Chiumiento (formerly FC Lucerne). After a stint at the Toronto FC in the season 2012 /13 he plays since February 4, 2013 for FC Dallas.
