Eric Lubbock, 4th Baron Avebury

Eric Reginald Lubbock, 4th Baron Avebury PC ( born September 29, 1928) is a British nobleman and politician of the Liberal Democrats.

Career

Lubbock attended the prestigious Upper Canada College in Toronto, Ontario, Canada; the Harrow School and studied engineering science at Balliol College Oxford University.

After serving as a lieutenant in the Welsh Guards, Lubbock worked from 1951 to 1960 Rolls- Royce.

For the Liberal Party he belonged from 1963 to 1970 at the House of Commons. During this time he was Chief Whip of his party. In 1971 he inherited from his cousin, who died childless, the title of Baron Avebury, since that time he has been a member of the House of Lords.

Family

Lubbock was married from 1953 to 1983 with Kina -Maria O'Kelly de Gallagh, from this marriage he has three children. After her death he married in 1985 Lindsay Stewart; from this marriage comes a son.
