Life and achievements
Schaeffer grew up in New York City's Upper West Side and studied drama and dance at the Bard College. For years he worked as a taxi driver; During this time he wrote a novel, numerous screenplays and two plays. He made his debut both as an actor and as a director and screenwriter in the independent comedy may Who is spinning again from the year 1993. His second work as a director was the comedy If Lucy Fell (1996 ), for which he wrote the screenplay and in which he beside Sarah Jessica Parker one of the main roles assumed.
