Erich Rutemöller

Erich Rutemöller ( born February 8, 1945 in Recke, Steinbeck ) is a German football coach.

Stations as a player

His high school put Rutemöller 1965 at the Gymnasium Dionysianum in Rheine. As a player Rutemöller was active at Borussia Rheine, the SSV Köttingen and the amateurs of the 1st FC Cologne.

Coach, trainer, consultant and board

From July 1985 to end June 1989 trained Erich Rutemöller the time playing in the third-tier Oberliga Bonner SC. From 1994 Rutemöller worked for the German Football Association. He previously coached in the Bundesliga 1990/91 1 FC Cologne and 1992 Hansa Rostock.

On 1 July 2000 Erich Rutemöller came over from Gero Bisanz as head of training for obtaining the license soccer coach at the DFB. From April 2003 to December 2005, he coached the team in 2006, which had been founded as a perspective team to support the senior team in January 2002. In August 2006 Rutemöller moved on the initiative of the DFB sporting director Matthias Sammer as the new Under-20 coach back in the inner circle of the DFB coaching staff after a contract had not been extended with Uli Stielike. In November 2006, took over the coach of the German U21 national team, Dieter Eilts, the U20 national team. On 31 December 2007 Rutemöller was replaced as head of training for obtaining the soccer coach license by Frank Wormuth.

From 1 January 2009 Rutemöller worked as a consultant for the Iranian national team coach Ali Daei. After Ali Daei was sacked after a 2-1 defeat against Saudi Arabia on 28 March 2009, he oversaw the team until April 21, 2009 as the interim coach. In the 2009/10 season, he worked as a consultant at the Tehran club Esteghlal FC. In 2011 Rutemöller works for the Asian Football Area Association in Qatar.

In March 2011 it was announced that Rutemöller will volunteer for one of his former clubs, where he worked as a coach to engage.
