Erick Osornio

Erick Osornio Núñez ( born March 5, 1983 in Puebla) is a Mexican Taekwondo. It starts in the weight category up to 68 kilograms.

Osornio scored his first international success at the Pan Cup 2002 in Quito, he won in the category up to 67 kg. The following year he competed in Garmisch-Partenkirchen his first world championship, but was eliminated early. Success, however, ran the Pan American Games in Santo Domingo, where Osornio in the class up to 68 kg reached the semi-finals and won bronze. In the following years Osornio was especially successful at the Pan Championships. In addition to two silver medals in 2004 in Santo Domingo and in 2010 in Monterrey in 2008, he celebrated his second title in Caguas.

Osornio, who is trained by Jose Luis Onofre, sat down in the internal team to qualify for the 2012 Olympic Games in London against Idulio Islas through and secured the participation in his first games.
