Erik Balnuweit

Erik Balnuweit ( born September 21, 1988 in Gera ) is a German track and field athlete.

2007 moved Balnuweit from 1 SV Gera for LAZ Leipzig, where the sport soldier trained in a training group with Alexander John and Cindy Roleder under national coach Cheick Idriss Gonschinska, club coaches are Ronald Stein and Jan May 2009 Balnuweit was in the hall German champion over 60 meter hurdles, 2008 and 2010, he took second place. Outdoors, he was the 2011 Second and 2012 Third 110 meter hurdles. In 2013 he was for the second time German indoor champion.

Balnuweit was fifth at the U20 European Championship in 2007. At the European Indoor Championships in 2009, the 2011 World Championships and the Olympic Games in London in 2012 he competed in the German national team, but different from each early. At the European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg in 2013 he reached the fifth place with a personal best.

The 1.89 m high hurdler put his personal best of 13.46 s on June 30, 2012 in Nottwil and his Hallenbestzeit over 60m hurdles of 7.58 s on March 1, 2013, Gothenburg.
