Erlanger (crater)

10:12

Erlanger is a small impact crater on the moon near the lunar north pole. Due to the position and shape of the crater bottom of Erlanger is one of the places where it is thought possible that originating from Kometeneinschägen ice on the moon occurs. For this reason, the crater with a combination of the Mini - RF instruments was examined on board the two spacecraft Chandrayaan -1 and Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter on ice.

The crater was 2009 by the IAU by Joseph Erlanger ( 1874-1965 ), an American physiologist named.
