Erni Mangold

Erni Mangold (born 26 January 1927 in Großweikersdorf, Lower Austria, Austria; well Erna Ernie Mangold and Mangold; actually Erna Goldmann ) is an Austrian actress and director.

Life

Mangold comes from a family of artists. The father was a painter. The mother, who abandoned the family for the sake of a possible career as a concert pianist, gave her the fourth to the fourteenth piano lessons.

After training at drama school Krauss was Erni Mangold 1946 to 1956 engaged at the Vienna Theater in der Josefstadt, from 1955 to 1963 under the direction of Gustaf at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg, then at the Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus under Karlheinz Stroux. After various engagements in Vienna and Germany it was in 1972 at the Salzburg Mozarteum active, then she taught in the school theater Helmut Kraus and at the Reinhardt Seminar and was from 1984 to 1995 professor at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.

Erni Mangold has appeared in over sixty films and twenty TV productions, most notably was her role as mistress of the seer in the film Hanussen (1955 ) by O. W. Fischer. She also acted in several episodes (episodes 2, 9 and 19) of the crime series Kottan determined.

From 1958 to 1978 she was married to the actor Heinz Reincke.

She now lives in St. Leonhard am Hornerwald.
