Ernie Chan

Ernesto " Ernie " Chan, or Ernie Chua ( born July 27, 1940 † 16 May 2012) was a Filipino comic book artist.

Life and work

Chan emigrated in the 1960s from Manila to the United States. There he was forced due to a data error, the U.S. immigration, several decades of living under the name of Chua and work before it was possible for him to be officially correct the error.

Among the series in which Chua worked as a draftsman and / or Tuscher, include Conan the Barbarian, Doctor Strange, Kull the Destroyer, Power Man and The Incredible Hulk for Marvel Comics, and Claw the Unconquered and Batman for DC Comics. Among his most frequent artistic partners, the brothers John and Sal Buscema included.
