Ernst Otto Wilhelm Taschenberg

Ernst Otto Wilhelm pocket Berg ( born March 23, 1854 in Tusker, † March 30, 1922 in Halle) was a German scientist and professor at the University of Halle -Wittenberg.

Life

Pocket mountain was born in the Prussian province of Saxony. He studied Natural Sciences in Leipzig and Halle, and received his doctorate in 1877 in Halle with a work on anatomy, histology and classification of Cylicozoa Leuckart, an order of the Hydrozoa. 1879, only two years later, the habilitation followed the topic further contributions to the knowledge of marine trematodes ectoparasitischer.

In 1887 mountain bag gave out the bibliography Bibliotheca Zoologica. In addition, mountain bag acted as a consultant in the field of pest control. In 1911 he was appointed ordinary honorary professor of systematic zoology, entomology and history of zoology.

Case Mountain is known for its diverse publications for pest control and the genesis of the birds today.

Otto pocket mountain is the son of Ernst Ludwig pocket Berg, a professor of entomology at Halle.
