Ernst Sieler

Sieler Ernst ( born August 22, 1893 in Altenburg, Thuringia, † October 6, 1983 in Bernau am Chiemsee, Bavaria ) was a German officer, last Lieutenant General during World War II.

Since August 1, 1939 Sieler was Colonel, on 1 October of the same year he became commander of Infantry Regiment 46 of the 30th Infantry Division. In May 1940 he fought in the western campaign, from June 1941 in the eastern campaign, his regiment fought in the fall of 1941 at the X Corps, which was going to Staraya Russa. On 16 November 1942 he was entrusted with the leadership of the past in Belgium 304th Infantry Division. On January 1, 1943, he was appointed major general. The end of 1942, he fought on the Eastern Front again and was promoted on July 1, 1943 Lieutenant General. He excelled in the first half of 1944 in the Odessa at the local resistance struggles from.
