Erwin Lemmens

Erwin Lemmens ( born May 12, 1976 in Brussels) is a Belgian football goalkeeper who currently plays for Belgian second division club KSK Beveren.

Lemmens began his career in 1995 at KSK Beveren and was 1997-1999 goalkeeper when he signed with Racing Santander. After four seasons and 82 games in La Liga for the Cantabrians to Lemmens joined Espanyol Barcelona and was the 2003/ 04 goalkeeper.

The shape of Idriss Kaméni 2004/ 05 meant for Lemmens, his duty to meet the bank with only one standing on beech game in the Copa del Rey. Therefore, he was pleased to be able to bring about the signing of the contract with Olympiakos Piraeus a change in the summer of 2005, even if it the position of the substitute goalkeeper Antonios Nikopolidis had to argue with the young Cleopas Giannou behind the number 1.

2005/ 06 did not make it Lemmens to be able to contest even a single game for his club Olympiakos, and so was accompanied by rumors that he would be sold. Nevertheless, he remained first third-choice goalkeeper behind Antonios Nikopolidis and Tomislav Butina. In January 2007, he then moved to Dutch club RKC Waalwijk for whom he played until the end of the season and then went to the Belgian club KFC Verbroedering Dender EH. After he had been without a club in the 2008 /2009 season, he's since July 2009, the second division club KSK Beveren under contract.

Lemmens played 2004, two times for the Belgian national football team: on March 13 in the game against Germany and on May 25 against the Netherlands.
