Erwin Olaf

Erwin Olaf ( born July 2, 1959 in Hilversum as Erwin Olaf Springveld ) is a Dutch photographer.

Life

Olaf studied for his school journalism at the School of Journalism in Utrecht. As a photographer, he worked for advertising campaigns for international companies such as Levi's, Microsoft and Nokia. Many of his photographic works are provocative and find attention in the international media. Exhibitions of photographs by Olaf found in various galleries instead of the world, for example in the Flatland Gallery in Utrecht, in the Hasted Hunt in New York City, at the Galerie Magda Danysz in Paris in the gallery Espacio Minimo in Madrid, in the B & D Gallery Milan, in the Miller Gallery in New York City, in the Crown Gallery in Brussels, in the reflex Gallery in Amsterdam, etc.

Also in many art museums Olaf is represented worldwide with exhibitions, for example, in Moscow Museum of Modern Art in Moscow, at the Fotomuseum Provincie Antwerpen, in the Groninger Museum, the Domus Artium 2002 ( DA2 ) Salamanca, the Spanish Museum of New Art in Pontiac, Bologna Museum of Modern Art, in Muzeum Miejskie Wrocławia in Wroclaw, in Cultuurlaboratorium in Limburg Museum in Venlo, the Institute Neerlandais in Paris, in the Arts statements Gallery in Hong Kong, Galleri Tapper - Popermajer in Teckomatorp, the Fotomuseum Den Haag, the Australian Centre for Photography in Paddington, etc.

2004 Olaf was chosen among the list Grootste De Nederlander on Dutch television. On 31 October 2011, received the € 100,000 Dutch John Vermeerprijs.

Olaf lives and lives in Amsterdam.
