Erwin Strempel

Erwin Strempel (* January 6, 1924, † 17 October 1999) was a German football goalkeeper who played for the Saarland national football team.

Strempel played from 1946 to 1955 for the 1st FC Saarbrücken and then for Borussia Neunkirchen. His football career he finished 1968 as player-coach in Blieskastel - but not in the gate, but as already in his time as a soldier as a center forward.

From 1950 to 1955 he also was in goal for the Saarland team. He played 1953/53 in all four qualifying matches for the World Cup 1954.

From 1990, he was then tennis coach at TC Blieskastel - Lautzkirchen.
