Esa Lehikoinen

Esa Lehikoinen ( born April 17, 1986 in Joensuu ) is a Finnish professional ice hockey player who is since 2009 BK Mladá Boleslav in the Czech Extraliga under contract.

Career

Esa Lehikoinen began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of Jokipojat, for the first team, he made his debut in the third-class Suomi- sarja in the season 2003/ 04. In his rookie year, the defense succeeded with his team immediately as third league champions, the rise in the Mestis, the Finnish second division. In this he was another two years for Jokipojat active, he also stood in the 2005/06 season in four games as Players out on loan for the Finnish U20 national team in Mestis on the ice. Then he joined Lukko Rauma of the SM - liiga, came in the 2006/07 season but mainly in the A-Juniors team of Lukko and also loan in four games for his hometown club, the second division Jokipojat, used.

From 2007 to 2009 Lehikoinen was a regular in the first team of Lukko Rauma. Then he signed for season 2009/10 contract with BK Mladá Boleslav of the Czech Extraliga.
