Esa Vuorinen

Esa Vuorinen ( born June 25, 1945 in Helsinki, Finland) is a Finnish cinematographer, screenwriter and university lecturer.

Life

After Esa Vuorinen from 1968 to 1972 at the Aalto University Helsinki, he was back in 1972 with the Finnish drama Niilon oppivuodet his first work as an independent cameraman recorded. For this he wrote as well as with At home for Christmas on the script. Connecting to Vuorinen concentrated fully on the camera work and turned quite a few movies before with In the Shadow of the Raven turned an Icelandic film first time in 1988. This was followed by The Sign of the Snake and Good evening, Mr. Wallenberg two Swedish productions, where he ever got the Swedish Film Award Guldbagge for Best Cinematography for the latter as the first fin. It should follow with Svenska hjältar and Dubbel -8 two more nominations. He was more common for Swedish as nominated for the Finnish Film Awards Jussi, because only for Runoilija yes muusa and Tango Kabaree he received each a Jussi Award nomination.

In addition to his involvement in the Finnish Society of Cinematographers, which he is a member since 1983, he was chairman from 1995 to 2001, taught Vuorinen as a professor at the Aalto University 1999 to 2007. Likewise, he was a guest lecturer at the Dramatiska institutet in Stockholm and the University of Lillehammer.
