Eschbach (Siede)

The Eschbach is a 13 km long, right-sided or western tributary of boiling in the river system of the Weser. It flows only in the southern part of the county Diepholz (Lower Saxony, Germany ).

Course

The source of Eschbach's located just south of Affinghausen ( Samtgemeinde Schwaförden ). From there it flows in a southerly direction, takes the Sudwalder ditch and the creek on Hingst, flows through Mellinghausen ( Samtgemeinde Siedenburg ) and ends at the boil - right on the main road 214 - in the boiling.

History

In the great fire of a barn in Ohlendorf in September 1967 had six adjacent volunteer fire the water with a hose line from the B- Eschbach 780 meters away pick. The barn was burning still totally dependent, but the adjoining mill could be saved.

Naming

In Mellinghausen ( in the district Ohlendorf ) has been around since 1983, the theater group Eschbachtal. On the outdoor stage in Ohlendorf each year, a summer theater program held in the Low German language.
