Eshaq Jahangiri

Eshagh Dschahangiri (Persian اسحاق جهانگیری Eshaq Dschahangiri; * 10 Januar1957 in Sirjan ), also Jahangiri, is an Iranian politician from the Kargozaran party. He is Vice President of Iran in the reign of Hassan Rohani.

The former industrial and mining minister ( of 21 August 1997 to 25 August 2005) is thus the first deputy of the head of state. He was elected on 28 May 1984 the constituency Dschiroft in Parliament, where he remained until May 25, 1992. From 1 September 1992 to 20 August 1997, Dschahangiri governor of Isfahan, replacing Gholam Hossein Karbaschi.

The Shiite Muslim is married to Manidscheh Dschahangiri and has three children.
