Eshrefids

The Eşrefoğulları were a Turkish UC Beylik, which existed between about 1280 and 1326. Center of the Beyliks was Beyşehir.

Progenitor of the dynasty was a Seyfeddin Suleiman ibn Eşref. His son Mubariz al - Din Muhammad was able to extend the dominion until after Akşehir.

The Eşrefoğulları were in permanent conflict with the neighboring Karamanids for influence in Konya.

The Beylik went under as the Tschupanide Timurtas conquered in 1326 Beyşehir and according to legend the last Esrefoglu Bey drowned in a sack in Beyşehir Gölü. The field of Eşrefoğulları was divided by the adjacent Karamanids and Hamidoğulları.
