ESP-Disk

ESP-Disk is a US-based independent label, which documented important recordings in the early days of free jazz.

ESP-Disk is one of the lawyer Bernard Stollman founded in 1964 in New York City record label. It was originally created to publish based on the artificial language Esperanto music. The second ESP publication, however, was Albert Ayler's Spiritual Unity, the Eye and Ear Control should be an influential album of free jazz as well as its New York. On ESP also albums by Ornette Coleman ( " The Town Hall Concert" ), Pharoah Sanders Show ( which his recording debut at ESP had ), Giuseppi Logan, Sun Ra, Ronnie Boykins, Marion Brown, Sonny Simmons, Paul Bley, Ran Blake, Patty Waters or Perry Robinson.

Furthermore appeared on ESP also not aligned on Music market borrowings of underground rock, such as sheets of Jimi La Lumia & the Psychotic Frogs, The Fugs, The Godz and Pearls Before Swine.

The complete label catalog is available again today. On ESP also re - new releases and historic recordings of Billie Holiday, Charlie Parker and Bud Powell appeared.
