Esperstedt is a district of the municipality Obhausen in the hall district, in Saxony -Anhalt ( Germany ).

Geography

Esperstedt between Halle ( Saale) and cross at the ford Weida.

History

In a resulting 881-899 Directory of tithing of Hersfeld Monastery ( Hersfeld tithe directory) is first mentioned as requiring a tenth place in the frieze Osperestat field in records Esperstedt. Around 900, the village belonged to Burgwart District Schraplau in the former Hosgau. 1200 is the rule in the possession of the archbishopric of Magdeburg. The name derives from the word Espen - Poplar - Poplar site.

From 2005 to 2009 Esperstedt belonged to the administrative community Weida -Land. Until the incorporation by Obhausen on 1 January 2010 Esperstedt was an independent municipality with the associated eingemeindeten on July 1, 1950 the district Kuckenburg. Last mayor Esperstedts was Erich Pohl.

Transport links

The exit ( 20) of the federal motorway 38 Göttingen -Leipzig is located on the outskirts of Esperstedt. This was completed in December 2008.

From 1884 to 2003 the town had a station on the railway line Röblingen am See- Vitzenburg.
