Esplanade de La Défense (Paris Métro)

The metro station Esplanade de La Défense is located on the Line 1 of the Paris Métro in the district of La Défense on the edge of the suburbs Courbevoie and Puteaux. The station has a center platform, as it is highly concentrated at the sides by the A14, which leads through a tunnel to La Défense also.

History

The station was opened as part of the western extension of the line from Pont de Neuilly to La Défense on 1 April 1992.

In October 2009, the RATP installed at the station for passenger safety platform screen doors.
