Esplendor Geometrico

Esplendor Geometrico is a Spanish industrial band. The band was founded in the early 1980s by Arturo Lanz, Gabriel Riaza and Juan -Carlos Sastre, all former members of Aviador Dro. The band's name means " Geometric splendor " or Geometric and mechanical splendor and Numerical sensitivity ( Italian: Lo Splendore geometrico e meccanico e la sensibilità numerica ), inspired by a text by the Italian Futurist FT Marinetti.

History

In 1981, the band released their first single, " Necrosis en la Poya " at tic -tac label, followed by their debut LP, " El Acero del Partido " in 1982. 1985 formed the band their own label, Discos Esplendor Geométrico, and released their second LP, " chief inspector de la Luz ". Her style of industrial rhythms was two more albums - extended 1987 "Cosmos cinema " and 1988 " Mekano turbo ". After the 1989 live album "Live in Utrecht " future versions appeared on the label Geometrik.

In 1991, published " Sheikh aljama " incorporated Arabic influences in the music, while " Veritatis Splendor " (1994) and " Balearic Rhythms " (1996) represented a partial relaxation of their traditional abrasive sound. Until that time, the band was a duo consisting of Arturo Lanz and Gabriel Riaza. As of 1992, Esplendor Geometrico to a trio with the entry of Saverio Evangelista. Lanz now lives in Beijing and Evangelista in Rome, but the group is still active and took part in selected live performances as well as her last appearance in Kyoto, Japan with Peter Christopherson of Throbbing Gristle, Coil, Robert Görl of DAF and CoH part. In April 2007 she released a new album, " 8 Traks & Live", with eight new audio tracks and a DVD with recordings from DeciBELIO Festival Madrid in June 2006.
