ESPN Classic

ESPN Classic is a television channel, which is devoted to historic sporting events.

General Information

The station was established in May 1995 under the name Classic Sports Network in the United States and adopted in October 1997 by the U.S. sports channel ESPN and renamed.

On display are historic sporting events, games and competitions, documentaries and sports portraits. Including about the football World Cup and other soccer tournaments or flashbacks to the Olympics.

The program is broadcast mainly in German and partly in English.

Reception

ESPN Classic 2002 came to Europe and will be broadcast in November 2004 in Germany digitally via satellite and cable in the channel packages from cable Eutelsat stand, Kabel BW, ewt multimedia, Unity Media, wilhelm.tel and primacom and IPTV at Telekom Entertain.
