The Estádio Cidade de Barcelos is a football stadium in the Portuguese town of Barcelos, Braga District in the Região Norte.
History
The venue of the football club Gil Vicente FC was inaugurated on 30 May 2004. The first game took place between Gil Vicente and the team of Nacional Montevideo of Uruguay (1:2). The arena consists of four individually standing, covered bleachers close to the field and holds 12,504 spectators. Furthermore, ten spaces for disabled people and 102 jobs for journalists. To the venue are located about 520 cars and 13 bus parking.
The stadium was one of six venues of the U -21 Football Championship in 2006.
