The Estádio da Madeira, with former name Estádio Eng. Rui Alves, unofficially known as Estádio da Choupana, is a football stadium in Funchal, Portugal. It was built in 2000 with a seating grandstand with a capacity of 2,500 spectators. Since the construction of the stadium Clube Desportivo Nacional, the club that was formerly home to the Estádio dos Barreiros plays there. In January 2007, an additional seat grandstand was built, so that the stadium now holds 5,500 spectators. Both stands are located on the sides of the playing field.
