Estadio Municipal Ãlvarez Claro

The Estadio Municipal Álvarez Claro is a multi-purpose stadium in the Spanish autonomous city of Melilla, on the North African coast. The stadium was opened on September 29, 1945 solemnly with a match between UD Melilla and the Spanish giants Atlético Aviación, and serves the football club UD Melilla as homestead. The venue, which offers viewers around 10,000 square, has a covered grandstand on the south side and a running track for athletics competitions.
The stadium is located in a sports complex on the esplanade de Álvarez Claro, northeast of the nearby airport.
