The Estadio Pocitos was a football stadium in the district of Pocitos the Uruguayan capital, Montevideo.

Designed by Juan Scasso stadium was officially opened on 6 November 1921 and offered 15,000 spectators. The home of CA Peñarol was inaugurated by a friendly match against CA River Plate ( Full 1:1). Until 1933, Peñarol played in Pocitos and founded there his reputation to be able to turn already -lost in the final minutes games yet through the help of the fanatic fans.

During the first World Cup in 1930, the Estadio Pocitos served as an alternate place for the not yet completely finished Estadio Centenario. Two matches of the preliminary round were played here, the Frenchman Lucien Laurent scored in the opening game against Mexico ( Full 4:1) the first goal in World Cup history.

In 1940, the stadium was demolished.
