Volta Redonda FC Fênix 05 FC

The Estádio General Sylvio Raulino de Oliveira - short Raulino de Oliveira or Raulino - is a municipal football stadium in the district of Nossa Senhora Graces the Brazilian city of Volta Redonda.

History

It is the home of local, unterklassigen Association Volta Redonda FC and is also used by Fênix 05 FC from the nearby Barra Mansa used. The stadium was in 2005 almost all of its home games used by the capital club Fluminense FC to host the first Brazilian league. Since then, clubs have the capital, the stadium continues to be used irregularly for their home games. In recent years, for example, the Brazilian first division side repeatedly dodged into the stadium, as the Estádio Olímpico João Havelange is being rebuilt for the 2014 World Cup.

The stadium was opened in 1951. In 1976 it was expropriated because the land belonged to the Brazilian mining company CSN. After modernization it was still re-opened the same year. The first game after that was a 3:2 Redondas against Botafogo Rio de Janeiro. Since its renovation was completed in 2004, it has around 20,000 seats. It has since been regarded as one of the most modern stadiums in Brazil. The grandstands along both lines are covered on the top ranks.
