The Estadio del Bicentenario is a multi-purpose stadium in the Argentine city of San Juan. It can accommodate 25 286 spectators and is the club CA San Martín de San Juan as homestead.

History

The Estadio del Bicentenario in San Juan, a city with about 100,000 inhabitants in the west of Argentina, located in an oasis, was built between 2009 and 2011 and opened on March 16, 2011. For the first game in the new stadium, the Argentine national football team and the national team of Venezuela met for a friendly match, which was won by Argentina 4-1. From 2011, the stadium is San Martín de San Juan used by the local club CA as the venue for home games in football. Here, the Estadio del Bicentenario replaced the Estadio Ingeniero Hilario Sánchez as the home of CA San Martín, the space offered for 19,000 spectators and since 1951 Headquartered football matches of the club from San Juan.
