Estonian Security Police and SD

The Eesti Julgeolekupolitsei yes SD (Estonian Security Police and SD) was part of the Nazi repressive apparatus in the occupied territory of Estonia between 1942 and 1944.

The leader of the task force 1a, Martin Sandberger, designed a one-off in German-occupied Europe structure in which the Eesti Julgeolekupolitsei yes SD was divided into two groups: group A with the departments IV consisted of German, the group B with corresponding departments consisted of Estonian staff. Both groups wore the same uniform and the Estonian staff participated in training at the Security Police Main Office part.

The Estonian staff was not prosecuted after the war, but many members of Eesti Julgeolekupolitsei yes SD were recruited by Western intelligence agencies to work against the Soviet Union.
