Estreicher

Estreicher (Polish Estreicherowie ) is the name of a family Cracow scholar. Members of the family were decisive role in the processing of " Bibliografia Polska " published in 34 volumes. She was the elder started in 1872 by Karol Estreicher, continued by his son Stanisław and after nearly 80 years (1951 ) by Karol Karol grandson finished the Younger.

Several members of the family were Estreicher connected to the Jagiellonian University; Professor Stanisław Estreicher was spent by the German authorities as part of the Special Action Krakow in the Sachsenhausen concentration camp and died there. The last heir of the family tradition, Krystyna Grzybowska has left the unfinished " chronicle".
