Ethel Remey

Ethel Remey (* January 22, 1895, † February 1979) was an American stage and television actress.

Life

Ethel Remeys career began in the theater. From 1922 to 1947 she appeared on Broadway in such plays as Briar Rose (1922 ), Claire Boothe hit comedy The Women ( 1936-38 ), Sing Out the News (1938 /39) and Chicken Every Sunday (1944 /45) on.

From 1949 to 1956 Remey worked frequently in television, where she appeared as a supporting actress in series such as Studio One, Kraft Television Theatre, The Philco Television Playhouse, The Guiding Light and True Story. The most attention was been produced since 1956 in the television series As the World Turns, a soap opera, the CBS. From 1963 to 1977 Remey played the role of Alma Miller, the mother of Lisa Miller ( Eileen Fulton ).
