Ethiopian Highland Hare ( Lepus starcki )

The Ethiopian Highland Hare ( Lepus starcki ) is a mammal of the family of hares ( Leporidae ).

This rabbit dwelling is endemic in the highlands of the central part of Ethiopia, their habitats are grasslands in 2200-4400 meters above sea level. About their life little is known, as most genuine rabbit it is mainly nocturnal, feeding on grasses and herbs and is expected to live solitary outside the breeding season.

In his small distribution area (less than 100,000 km2 ) of the Ethiopian highlands bunny is still relatively common, it is not considered a threatened species.
