Etten, Netherlands

Etten is a Dutch village in the municipality of Oude IJsselstreek in the province of Gelderland. It is located southeast of Doetinchem at the Old Issel and counts about 1950 inhabitants.

Until 1960, it was dominated by agriculture, still retains some rural hamlet. The Male Choir of Etten is nationally fairly well known. Every year a big Easter bonfire will be held in September and a funfair. The local football club is the VV Etten.

In Etten are a Roman Catholic and a Protestant church and a restored windmill, which is a protected monument of Gemeinsche since 2010.
