Eucratideia

Eukratideia was a city in ancient Bactria ( in what is now northern Afghanistan, the Hindu Kush ). It was mentioned by a few ancient authors, and perhaps was a founding Eukratides I. (about 171-145 BC), renaming the city where in ancient times were often so that existing city maybe just by Eukratides I. renamed been. It has not been possible to locate the place with security, with the ruins Ai Khanoum was proposed. Also Dilbarjin was identified with this city.
