Eudoxia Streshneva

Yevdokia Lukianowna Streschnewa (Russian Евдокия Лукьяновна Стрешнева; * 1608; .. † 18 Augustjul / 28 August 1645greg in Moscow) was the second wife of Tsar Michael I of Russia.

She was born as the daughter of temperate boyars Lucian Stepanovich Streschnew and his wife Anna Konstantinovna Lutschkowa. On 5 Februarjul. / February 15 1626greg. she was in Moscow with Tsar Michael I of Russia married after his first wife Maria Dolgorukowa had previously been poisoned one year.

The couple had ten children, six of whom died in their lifetime:

Life at the Russian court was extremely difficult for Yevdokia, there she was completely under the care and under the influence of her mother-in Marfa Ivanovna, who accompanied her everywhere; they also had the same confessor. Yevdokia never not won influence over her husband, even after the death of Marfa.

She died just five weeks after her husband, and was buried in the Archangel Michael Cathedral in Moscow.
