Eugen Bopp

Eugen Bopp ( born September 5, 1983 in Kiev, then Soviet Union, now Ukraine) is a German football player.

Career

Nottingham Forest

Bopp played in the youth of the FC Bayern Munich, before joining the Academy of English club Nottingham Forest as a 16- year-old on 20 June 2000. His first professional contract with Forest he received on 11 September 2000. Bopp was an important member of the Under-19 team, where he played alongside Jermaine Jenas and Michael Dawson, who had won the 2000/01 Under-19 Championship. Bopp finally played 77 league games for the first team of Nottingham Forest, but only half of them in the starting lineup. In his four years at the club he scored eight league goals. His best year in the club was during the 2002/ 03 season, in which Nottingham Forest in the League reached the playoffs for promotion. From his time in Nottingham, especially the equalizer against Gillingham was on the last day of the 2004/05 season in memory, which ultimately forced the enemy to descend. This season also Forest and Rotherham United were relegated. After the 2005/ 06 season he left the club.

Rotherham United

After leaving Nottingham Forest, he was invited by Rotherham United on trial. After an impressive preparation he signed a short-term contract on August 3, 2006. Crewe Alexandra

Bopp signed on 7 December 2010, a contract with FC Carl Zeiss Jena in the 3rd Football League. He completed his debut for Carl Zeiss Jena in the game on December 11 against Dynamo Dresden. He played in 16 league games for the club before he left the club again in June 2011.

York City

Bopp returned to England after he had signed a contract with York City in the Conference National to the end of the 2011/12 season on March 22, 2012. His debut came in the 69th minute in a 2-1 away win against Luton Town on 30 March 2012, when he prepared the two gates. On April 7, 2012, he suffered a broken collarbone in a home match against Fleetwood Town and fell for the rest of the season.

Private

His six years younger brother Victor was also several years in the youth of the FC Bayern Munich.
