Eugène-Anatole Demarçay

Eugène- Anatole Demarcay ( born January 1, 1852 † March 5, 1903 Paris) was a French chemist.

Demarcay was one of the discoverers of the element europium, which he initially spectroscopically proved and 1901, isolated. During this time he helped Marie Curie with spectroscopic studies in the isolation of radium from pitchblende.
