Eugene Field

Eugene Field ( born September 2, 1850 in St. Louis, Missouri, † November 4, 1895 in Chicago, Illinois) was an American journalist and writer who was best known for his volume of poetry, A Little Book of Western Verse.

Life

After schooling Field, son of the lawyer Roswell M. Field began, first studying at the University of Missouri, he had to leave as well but not finish as the Knox College, where he studied 1869-1871.
