Eugenia Rico

María Eugenia Rico Álvarez ( born February 11, 1972 in Oviedo) is a Spanish writer.

Life and work

She published her first story at age eleven in the " Diario Región " and with 20 she founded the magazine " Revista Multiversidad ". Rico studied law and international relations in Oviedo, Toulouse and Brussels and specialized in human rights. She also studied acting and learned at the International Writers' Circle under the direction of Fernando Trueba Write cinema screenplays. After traveling through Argentina and India and stays in various other countries, they came back to Spain, where she lives in Madrid. In 2000, she published her first novel " Los amantes tristes " which was very well received by the critics and translated into different languages ​​.
