Euphorbia abdelkuri is a plant of the genus Euphorbia (Euphorbia ) in the family of Euphorbiaceae ( Euphorbiaceae ).

Description

The succulent Euphorbia abdelkuri forms dense, branching from the base of shrubs that reach heights of growth of up to 1 m. Your upright branches measure 4-8 cm in diameter. Fresh shoots are gray- pink, but later turn green. Its surface has a wrinkled texture that is reminiscent of a coating of melted wax. The shoots are weak and segmented cross-section of five -to seven -edged. The branches are dentate sinuate and thorns and leafless. In them are a little lofty conical warts, which are arranged in five rows indistinct. The milky sap is yellowish.

The sessile, yellowish green cyathia have a diameter of about 5 mm. The fruits are lobed dull and have a diameter of about 8 mm.

Euphorbia abdelkuri is endemic to the Yemeni island of Abd al Kuri, after which the species is named. Where it grows on limestone. The first description was published in 1903 by Isaac Bayley Balfour.
