Eurico Carrapatoso
Eurico Carrapatoso (* February 15, 1962 in Miran Delaware ) is a Portuguese composer.
Education and Career
Eurico Carrapatoso in 1985 graduated from the University of Porto in history. In the same year he began his musical studies at Borges Coelho, Fernando Lapa and Cândido Lima, from 1988 composition with Constança Capdeville. He concludes his course with Jorge Peixinho at the State Conservatory with honors. Eurico Carrapatoso taught composition at the Escola Superior de Música and at the Academia Nacional Superior de Orquestra in Lisbon. Since 1989 he is professor of theory and composition at the Conservatory of Lisbon. His works are played by the major Portuguese ensembles and orchestras in the country, as well as in other European and American countries.
