Europa Philharmonie

The Europe is a European Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, headquartered in Magdeburg, the state capital of Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. The Philharmonic Originally founded as a youth orchestra is now an international ensemble, comprised of members of leading German and European concert and theater orchestra composed which accompanied and formed this orchestra as a young music students. Support of the international sound body is the Friends of the Philharmonic Europe. Founder and Principal Conductor Reinhard Seehafer. Will advise the orchestra from the Artistic Advisory Board, consisting of members of the European Philharmonic Orchestra, the volunteer as representatives of their countries and support the Philharmonic Europe as an ambassador with their specific national experiences.

History

The idea of a European orchestra was founded in 1996 in Görlitz after the abolition divisive borders in Europe by the director Wolf -Dieter Ludwig and the chief conductor Reinhard Seehafer under the name Young Euro Pera Philharmonic in life and later from 1998 as Europe Philharmonic through collaboration with the director Ferry Tomaszyk underpinned with guest performances worldwide as an ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany. Its founding the orchestra gave concerts in 1996 with a European 3sat broadcast live from the Görlitz Peter Church with Gustav Mahler's " Resurrection Symphony " under the direction of Chief Conductor Reinhard Seehafer in cooperation with the Foundation Kreisau / Krzyzowa for European Understanding.

From 1998 to 2007 Schloss Hundisburg was in Saxony -Anhalt, the seat of the orchestra, one of the most important baroque palaces in rural northern Germany. From 2008 to 2011 the orchestra resided in Baden- Württemberg. Since 2012, the orchestra is back home in Saxony- Anhalt.

Worldwide concert performances

  • On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Federal Republic of Germany and the People's Republic of China hosted the Europa Philharmonie, 2002 in Shanghai, Beijing and five other Chinese cities.
  • In the Yemeni capital Sanaa, the orchestra in 2004 played the world's first classical orchestra, in the presence of their patrons, Bundestag President Wolfgang Thierse, and the Yemeni Minister of Culture and Tourism, Khalid Al- Rewaishan, the opening concert " Sanaa - Cultural Capital of Arab World ". In addition to the invited guests witnessed this spectacular concert 5000 listeners against the backdrop of Sanaa's Old Town. Television stations were broadcasting the concert live in the entire Arab world. Other stops on this tour were Abu Dhabi, Ajman and the Sultanate of Oman, where the orchestra played the traditional New Year's Concert.
  • Concert in the Cypriot capital Nicosia "Welcome to Europe" in 2004 on the occasion of the forthcoming accession of Cyprus to the EU, which was broadcast live on television.
  • As an ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany took the orchestra on a concert tour in 2005 to mark the 60th anniversary of the end of World War II from Kefalonia on Athens to Crete. Places where massacres have taken place and are representative of the many other victims communities in Greece.
  • " Christmas Gala" in 2005 in Antalya ( Turkey), where the orchestra was honored for his contributions to the cultural rapprochement between peoples.
