Europa Plus (Poland)

Europa Plus ( in own spelling and Europe ) is a nonpartisan political initiative in Poland. It was founded by former Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski, MEP Marek Siwiec (formerly members of the SLD ) and the Janusz Palikot Sejmabgeordneten (Chairman of the RP ) and other socially or politically active people in 2013.

Matter of concern

The aim of the initiative (both social democratic ), RP, Demokraci, SD to appeal (all socially liberal ) and PO ( liberal conservative ) and Zieloni ( Polish Green ) mainly voters of the political parties SLD, UP, is the increased inclusion of pro-European programmatic in Polish politics in the shadow of Europe's financial crisis.

In the long term the initiative as a political party to gain a foothold and provide an alternative to the previously established, but relatively weak members of parties of the center- left alliance. For the 2014 European elections, they will set up its own list. The initiative is supported to the effect of the former Polish prime minister and incumbent Senator Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz. The also participating in the initiative Sejmabgeordnete and former Interior Minister Ryszard Kalisz was expelled in April 2013 for the same reason and the participation in the establishment of a competing choice list from the SLD.
